Alina Potrzebowski is the College and Career Readiness Manager. Most recently, she was a Community School Coordinator at Washington Middle School where she initiated the Community School Council and prioritized the goals of the council and parent groups.
Prior to her work at Washington, Alina worked as the Youth Wellness and Recreation Manager at the Pueblo of Santa Ana and she also worked as a Fitness Specialist at the Pueblo of Sandia. While at Santa Ana, she grew both the after school and summer programs into thriving programs that included educational components as well as daily fitness and nutrition education. She also wrote grants to bring health and wellness programs to the Pueblo.
Alina’s approach to education includes a whole child approach that supports families and youth. She believes that every child should have access to a quality education and that issues of inequality and justice cannot be ignored.
Alina recently completed a Public Health Graduate Certificate in Maternal and Child Health. She also coaches a U-11 soccer team with Westside United.
