Working to Increase Use of Underutilized Family and Early Childhood Resources

In early 2015, ECAP Family Supports Strategy Group conducted a survey and hosted a Summit, learning from service providers about the needs of their organizations and the families they serve.

Based upon the information gathered, Family Supports Strategy Group developed a plan for 2015-2016: Using input and expertise from the community, Family Supports Strategy Group will provide multiple professional development supports to providers on cultural sensitivity.

Current Efforts

To identify specific areas of greatest need, one project team is currently engaging families in focus groups and listening sessions to learn about their experience in navigating the service system. Another project team is working to engage providers to learn about the professional development opportunities already available locally.
