Break the Cycle of Poverty by Improving Adult Literacy

ReadWest is currently seeking individuals with nonprofit Board of Directors experience. Fundraising and leadership experience is a plus. Please contact ReadWest at 505-892-1131 or email to begin the interview process.
According to a national study, low-literacy adults who participated in Adult Literacy Programs experienced an overall 53% economic gain. Low-literacy adults who did not participate experienced a 2% drop in income. Help us break the cycle of poverty by offering literacy instruction to adults.
ReadWest is a nonprofit agency providing FREE adult literacy services to the west side Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area adults since 1989. ReadWest trains and supports volunteer tutors to teach adults one-to-one in basic reading, writing and English as a Second Language skills.
