Join us in investing in New Mexico’s future!
Be curious. Discover. Explore: 2018 Building Science Learning in Early Childhood Summit is an opportunity for early childhood practitioners to participate in practical and hands-on professional development workshops. These workshops will support the building of knowledge, skills, and abilities of early childhood practitioners to integrate developmentally and culturally appropriate science, technology, engineering, math, and art (STEAM) learning experiences into their work with young children and their family members.
The Evening Reception
We invite Summit participants, industry partners, and others to join us for a special reception to kick-off our weekend of science learning on November 9th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at FUSE Makerspace. We will have light refreshments, a brief keynote address, and a lot of time to explore, play, make, and learn about STEAM-based careers in New Mexico.
We hope that you will join us as we plant seeds of STEM, invest in our future, and have fun discovering, exploring, and being curious.
This event has been organized collaboratively by Explora and the Early Childhood Accountability Partnership, the UNM Family Development Program, the Central New Mexico Community College, the New Mexico Public Broadcasting Station (NM PBS), and the UNM Early Childhood Services Center - Toy Lending & Resource Libraries, as well as others in our community are offering this opportunity with the support of the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
